BACKGROUND
Nicholas is a New York City based designer, art director and studio production artist with over two decades of experience in the advertising industry.
He got his introduction to the world of advertising after high school when he accepted a creative internship at one of the world’s most awarded and established agencies in the industry, BBDO. Here, he gained invaluable experience regarding how ad companies operate from both a creative and production standpoint. This experience was garnered through working on accounts such as Pepsi, Deutsche Bank, KFC, M&M’s and Gillette. For the next four years during college summers he would continue to intern at BBDO’s DigitalWorks Studio.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design from Carnegie Mellon University, he freelanced at companies such as The Gate Worldwide, Eurolife RSCG, Macy’s and TBWA/Chiat/Day before finally landing at J. Walter Thompson in 2006. After starting out as a Studio Production Artist, he transitioned to the role of Art Director where he primarily spent the next 14 years helping create multiple brand, sponsorship and product campaigns for one of the most iconic brands in the world, Rolex. Growing up as an avid sports fan, it was a privilege to design ads that featured some of the most legendary athletes of all-time such as Roger Federer, Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus.
In 2022, he accepted a position at Brunswick Group as a Senior Production Artist / Senior Designer. Over the last two years he provided design and creative direction for the Textron Aviation account across print, digital, social and out-of-home platforms.
From branding to art direction, digital retouching to design systems, Nicholas has covered a lot of ground over the last 20+ years. But even after two decades of agency experience, he is still as motivated as ever to evolve his creative capabilities.
Outside of work, Nicholas enjoys spending time with his kids, cycling and watching sports.
